Electronic Assembler Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Assembly Technician with experience in assembling and testing security camera systems. In this role, you will be responsible for building and configuring camera units, wiring components, ensuring system functionality, and performing quality assurance checks in accordance with technical documentation and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and wire security camera units, including PCBs, lenses, enclosures, and connectors
- Install and configure camera modules, image sensors, and related components
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Perform functional testing of completed camera systems to ensure proper operation
- Troubleshoot and repair camera units with electronic or mechanical issues
- Ensure assemblies meet internal quality standards and customer requirements
- Maintain documentation of assembly processes, parts usage, and test results
- Work closely with engineering, QA, and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes
- Follow ESD, safety, and cleanroom protocols during all stages of assembly
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or degree in electronics preferred
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in electronic assembly; experience with surveillance or imaging systems highly preferred
- Strong soldering skills and proficiency with hand tools and assembly equipment
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with IP and analog camera systems, including lens alignment and basic configuration is a plus.
- Experience using test equipment (e.g., multimeters, power supplies, video testers)
- Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and visual acuity
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented with good verbal and written communication
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing or lab environment, with ESD protection and clean work areas
- May involve sitting or standing for extended periods
- Use of microscopes, small tools, precision instruments, and pallet jack.
- Occasional lifting of equipment or materials (up to 60 lbs)
