TIG Welder
JOB DESCRIPTION
Immediate opportunity for a TIG welder in Arlington on 1st shift.
Manufacturing plant specializing in Metal stamping, prototyping, sheet metal fabrication, powder coating, tooling, and engineering is seeking a TIG welder to join their team.
Shift- 1st-
- 10-hour shifts, 4×10
Pay- 20-25hr DOE
Objective:
Function to produce parts to customer specifications in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Follow safety rules and maintain a safe workspace.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding to assemble metal parts.
- Prepare, align, and inspect parts using tools and blueprints.
- Verify product quality with gauges and rulers.
- Identify and report defects or faulty equipment.
- Perform spot welding and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Two years of relevant experience or training.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, basic math, and problem-solving.
Skills:
- Level I: Basic MIG welding with supervision.
- Level II: Intermediate MIG welding and blueprint reading.
- Level III: Advanced MIG/TIG welding on complex products.
- Level IV: Lead process improvements and waste reduction.
Physical Requirements:
- Stand and work with arms extended.
- Occasionally kneel, squat, or reach.
- Lift up to 40 lbs. (lifting aids available).
